Drexel Baker III was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. He began playing drums as a kid and eventually in the regionally known trio Go Fast in the late 90s and early 2000s. He secretly began experimenting with songwriting during this time - recording what he could and distributing to a select group of friends and fellow musicians. Upon moving to New York City in 2004, he embarked on making his first full-length album. His debut record, The Bloody Transylvania Street Machine, was released in 2005 followed by Green Sky (2008), and Strange Mystery (2013). Drexel has recorded with various bands over his twenty-year career in the industry. His fourth record Flashback City will be released in November 2018.
